Re: Porsche Hood Tag

I’d like to have the hood sticker that lists all the stuff l’ve added, fixed, or replaced. There might not be enough room in there, even with a really small font.

If you loan your buddy $100 and never see him again, it was probably a good investment.

RL Thread on Fuel Wash and Injectors

A RL thread that’s not completely content free: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/1071801-it-may-be-time-sigh-a-question-on-pricing-a-99-996-cab-roller.html Interesting commentary from Charles Navarro and JR regarding cause and effect of over-rich conditions ... cracked plastic, failed injectors...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Wife just got back from a 4-day Cape Cod bike trip with a few of her riding buddies. Bike was covered with that extra-special Northeastern mix of road grit and pollen. Took the pulleys off the rear derailleur, cleaned and lubed the derailleurs, degreased and lubed the cassette, cleaned and lubed the...

Re: May have messed up

With regular oil and filter changes, my guess is that you’ll be fine. Honda products are pretty durable. Some years ago I was selling a 2006 Pilot and had a hard time determining value because it only had 60k miles on it. Every other one I found for sale had at least 120, with several in the 200 - 2...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Last year I had an oil pump issue with the 996. I had it flatbedded to my regular indy mechanic, who is one of those fixing-Porsches-since-1977 kind of guys. Nevertheless, I pulled the battery cable, taped over the ignition switch, and put a sign in each window that said, “no oil in car — do not sta...

Somehow, I cannot imagine John fixing Schnell with a steely glare and snarling, “May whatever God you believe in have mercy on your soul.”

Although I’m sure that John has imagined this many times.
