First time out of the shed since last fall, so the riding mower at the auto museum needed a jump start.

Re: FRUNKenstein's 1973 Porsche 914 2.0 Bahia Red
We have a new Porsche shop in town that specializes in older Porsches, especially lawnmower models. The shop owner is the son of my first Porsche mechanic (who died a few years ago). He resurrected the name of his father's shop. He is a graduate of the McPherson College automotive restoration progra...

Re: FRUNKenstein's 2002 996tt
Swapped the summer wheels back on March 25th. I got an add oil message a couple of days ago. I think it’s about time for an oil change anyway.

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
I got the 914 ready for a sunset photoshoot yesterday, only to have it start raining just as the photographer showed up at my house. So, glad I spent a couple of hours detailing it. It goes into the shop tomorrow morning to get an oil leak fixed along with checking out a possible intermittent gas l...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
My go-to is www.ticketsforless.com . Their offices were about a mile from my house until recently. I had a problem one time with tickets (not the agency’s fault), and they went above and beyond to fix it. They also comped me for 4 MLB tickets a few months later.

Re: 2024 996Outpost Meet Up: April 27 at The Car Affair in Kansas City, MO
If I show up, I'ma need a 996. A clapped-out, tracked-out Turbro would probably be sufficient. Any chance you have time to meet up for a quick beer or lunch to talk about it when I’m in San Diego next week? We arrive on 3/7, but going to see Mickey on 3/8. I’m pretty open from Monday, 3/11 through ...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Wow man you can pretty much literally get a brand new 992 with that freed up $2,200 per month. (Which was nuts, another topic. That is for 5 persons?) Yeah, I know. But my wife has some crazy notion that we should spend it fixing the front porch steps that are about to fall off the house. buster-ke...
