Re: Anyone got a clamp Ammeter and non-wonky 996.1 handy?
Sorry it took me so long. Here's what I did. All these measurements are on the battery positive wire with the current probe immediately next to the battery. I degaussed the current probe after each measurement (dc magnetizes the probe so it should be degaussed) and I repeated each measurement at lea...

Make sure your clamp-on ammeter has a "DC" setting. A lot of cheap ones are AC only.
I would be happy to check the readings on my '01 Turbo if that would help you.

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
I have not got PDCC, that was an uncommon option on 955's. I do run the air suspension at the lowest setting. These cannot possibly be sport seats as I am sliding around at parking lot speeds. The parts catalog shows the same foam inserts for all 955 front seats which makes me wonder if the "sp...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Yeah the seemingly never ending tank on the diesel is really nice. Always bugs me that diesel goes up as fast as gas these days (didn't used to be that way thanks to the trucker unions/lobbies), but does not start dropping when gas does. If I were driving your P!g that 400 miles would probably be c...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
I'm not sure that stuffing 520hp into a huge wagon is such a great idea. I guess I will find out. Let's revisit this after you run it out the first time  Ok, so the first downside is that it takes $100 to fill the gas tank. Until now I was using the gas that was supplied with the car. We shall...
