Re: Getting rid of "Guards Pink"
Don't half ass it. Suck up the full rebuild, remove them, and do it right. I have never see an "on the car" job look good, even from 20 feet. You either end up with glaring unpainted spot because you protected everything else or you have over spray mess. Similarly I have seen people get bu...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

The person apparen...

Yes. The first rule of letting your kid drive is to do it in a location where crashing or getting hit is as close to zero as possible

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Very nice. I’m a fan of the e30s. Friend of mine won a brand new one in high school, it was a booster raffle. So here you have a 17YO driving around in a brand new red 325i vert in 1990. Funny part is he was working as a caterer at the event when he won it. That's funny - I wonder what everybody wa...

Re: 996Outpost monthly giveaways now sponsored by Kansas City Automotive Museum!
Well, all we need now is his address, and 4 or 5 weeks from now I'll get around to mailing him a box of junk. Also need to know t-shirt size (hint, he's also getting a KCAM t-shirt). Speaking of t-shirts, it's probably time we get some 996outpost.com t-shirts. Thanks to KC-Car-Guy, I now have a goo...

Re: E30 waterpump replacement?
I only did that job once on my 2 e30s. My memory is fuzzy cause I haven't hung out n those forums in ages, but as I recall: 1) it's an interference engine, so a snapped belt is bad. Not IMSB bad, but bad. Changing the belt is a PITA (stupid fan), but it's better than the alternative so I wouldn't pu...
