Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

I disagree DT. An intelligent human would make sure there was plenty of leftover ham. As ham offers so many options for it's ingestion, a smart planner will have at least a week's worth of 3 ham based meals each day. Except ham is so good you keep eating it until it is gone regardless of the amount...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Leftover ham is like leftover beer, there should never be any. In the event that you have failed as a human and there is leftover ham, have ham for breakfast. At that point there should be no leftover ham (see point 1). In the event that you have failed as a human and there is leftover ham, have ham...

Re: The dreaded oil filler tube

Happy Easter along with the prize for most anti-climactic for sale post You too! I seriously want to fix up the little stuff and then post it, maybe on BAT. It's a beautiful car, runs great. I just don't have the inclination to drive it much and I'd like to dump some money into the track car. I'm s...

The dreaded oil filler tube

Mine has a crack and I need to replace it. What parts do I need and anyone have a good set of DIY instructions that doesn't include steps like "remove accessory belt" but instead says, "you'll need to remove the accessory belt. Step one of X in that process is to loosen the farengi bo...

Re: Couple of weird things while replacing front pads & rotors

Having to massage pads into a caliper isn't all that unusual, especially in older cars. Lots of people grind or trim pad backs to make stuff fit. That you had front end weirdness that is now gone could be from the rust and gunk deposits, especially if it was noticeably unbalanced in its deposition p...

Re: Racetrack Stuff

I have read two threads in the last few weeks addressing a post mortem of an accident at a track day. In both threads the instructor said "I knew it was bad and I almost said something but I didn't."

I'll just leave Ross Bentley's thoughts here:

Re: Racetrack Stuff

It was fun but it's not track focused... Thanks for the honest review. I guess to be expected, then. Doesn't change my mind about the design: Jaw-dropping. You're lucky to get to ride along, let alone instruct in it! For some reason I thought I saw a review where people were saying it's an honest c...
