Saw this in my local Long Island newspaper. How should I spend my share of the upgrade money?

Re: Digital speed display
Or you can get a WiFi (for iPhone) or Bluetooth (Android) ODBII reader and use an app like DashCommand to display the speed (real speed, not adjusted) in a cool way.

Re: Speedo calibration
The speedometer should be off by about 3 mph by design. 5.5 mph sounds high. There is a built-in offset to adhere to EU regulations to over-report the speed. You can check the actual speed via a WiFi or Bluetooth ODBII reader and a mobile app.

You could always sign up with a different email and become bthreefreak, b3freque, or b4freak. Btw, many of my friends are kangaroos and I don't like your insinuation that their jurisprudence practices are suspect.

Re: My 2002 996 "renovation" thread
I've read more than a few posts from people who have upgraded the door speakers only to be really disappointed. Thanks for pointing out that the OEM ones are still available and relatively cheap. My original speakers are fine but I'm considering buying replacements while they're still available. It'...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?
It's a hot glue kit. That ding was about 90% gone with the first pull. It took just a few more pulls to completely get rid of it. I was amazed. Get one that has a slide hammer if you're going to give it a try. The kit I got came with a ton of tools. I had a couple of small hail dents in the hood and...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?
I bought a PDR kit after reading a post by Dporto. I am amazed at how well it works. Here is a pretty deep ding in my fender that I was able to pull out very easily. The best 68 bucks I've ever spent.

Re: My 2002 996 "renovation" thread
I see some 2 ohm 5.25 inch motorcycle speakers online. Do you think would they work with the factory system? My original speakers are still good but I'm guessing that eventually they'll need to be replaced. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kicker-Motorcycle-5-25-Inch-Speaker-package-2-ohm-version/1530777844...

I have the CDR-220 with factory Hi Fi option and haven't noticed any bass distortion or clipping.
