Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?
Swapped my AOS out today  for the second time in a year... Was it not working properly, again? Correct. Had excessive crankcase pressure and JR helped me diagnose it...No more oil pushing out of my CAM cover (bank 1) or the CAM Bore cap (bank 2)...Garage floor has been dry ever since. I can f...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, taking your car out for a spin is safe, enjoyable, and there are a lot fewer cars on the road! I got some real good 996 therapy on Sunday, and as soon as things aren't "the trash compactor is closing" panicky, I'll get some more done. It just occurred to me that the po...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?
There is probably no one that has NOT seen this, but it is AOS info. From that other forum. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/1176175-the-ultimate-aos-solution.html Yup, that's the way to go and the new motor will get one if JR approves. I don't want to do it again! Today will be new injectors,...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?
Spent hours trying to pinpoint two oil leaks, one on each bank...What a pain the butt/back! From the engine bay it's impossible to see anything with all that's in the way. From underneath, it's impossible to see anything with my shitty vision  and cramped space with a hot exhaust. After getting...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
I've given up on worrying about (black) paint...I'm just focused on the mechanicals now. Left over-night at a friends and his cat decided to stretch out and claw down the rear deck lid...Two days later a Rooster scratched up my roof

Re: I Pulled The Trigger!
Reliability was my main concern. I live on an island and stock power is plenty enough for me, so 3.6 bumped to 3.8 with more torque sounds just right. I figured I can't go wrong with the price I paid for entry to the 996 world... I still have a low mile good running (knock on wood) motor to sell th...
