I use Chrome - the Chrome password mangement works really well across platforms, so all of my stored usernames and passwords work on my PC, Macbook, iPad, and Phone as long as I use Chrome.
I'm platform-agnostic, but Chrome is currently the only browser I use on Windows.
I rely on the Chrome developer tools pretty extensively - so I'm not exactly unbiased.
Apple has gotten hardcore with server security requirements...and it' always s a moving target. A site that loaded fine in the previous build of the OS / Safari may not function at all with the next update.
