Well, there's truth in that. That's one reason why I'm not having the body shop fix it. But, it's still nice enough to spend a couple of thousand on to get it back to presentable.

So, back to school the boy goes tomorrow. We covered the broken headlight with some 6 mil thick clear plastic secured with some Gorilla tape. He'll be back home in 3 weeks, so we'll fix it then.

Sent the boy back to college a few minutes ago. Decided to use some Gorilla Tape to seal up the big hole in the bumper as there are several lights and sensors that are normally shielded from the elements. Used a Sharpie to darken the gray tape - figured that would help him pick up chicks.

Should get a vinyl sign made to go on the fender that has arrows to the damage and says "Ask {idiot friend's name} why you can't drive my car"

Yep. Sending the other boy out in the morning, assuming the blizzard we're about to get hit with doesn't screw that up. What's the word out there about the weather?

We got from 3-4" but the wind is bad so assume drifting and white outs. Temps in the mid 20's so not terrible. How far does he have to go and which direction?

The one driving back to college is going 2 hours east to Columbia, MO.

The other one lives in DC. His office is literally next door to gnat's house. He is scheduled to fly out at 8 am tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the weather reports around the midwest in the winter is usually gloom and doom. As in "BLIZZARD COMIN'! flights get cancelled things shut down proactively and then we get two inches of snow. I'm anal retentive about bad weather so I have Nat. Weather service, Weather.com and Weather Underground bookmarked with Accuweather as a back-up and they all over estimate the apocalypse. So I understand Frunk's question.

Just don't ban me, bro!

Billy's spot on. We had one weather person who was so epically hysterical, she spawned a drinking game:
