The collusion must be avenged. I believe I know just a man who should bring vengeance to nerd-in-chief. I have his contact info ready.

The man is personally acquainted with Ernest Hemingway, he taught Ayrton Senna about driving, and instructed Porfirio Rubirosa on art of love making. He courted Hugette Clark and almost got her to gift him the Bellosguardo. And lastly he solo climbed Everest and Killimanjaro.

He is best-selling author, occasional Gitmo AirBNB guest, and internationally-renowned automotive fashion consultant John Ireland.

Not coming from the box - that's leftover bodily fluid from when DTM sat in it on his visit last year.

Nevah! And they are a set - can't break up the set!

You can have them when I'm dead. Or when I retire. Which, frankly, will likely be on the same day.

OK, well, we presented Einsteiger with his "Mystery Prize" this morning at breakfast. You can see the look of trepidation on his face as he begins to unwrap the box . . . but all went well:

And the look of unbridled excitement on the faces of the crowd as the top came off the box:

(BTW, that's Autobonrun in the royal blue hoodie in the foreground, KC-Car-Guy adjusting his navy blue ballcap and PorscheDoc next to him with the Ford patch - and photo credits go to Blrmkr)

The first item (drum roll please) - a vintage 1987 dealer poster with a large print on one side and a photo and details of each 1987 model on the back side:

Next, a 1992 Porsche factory sales brochure:

Then, to round things out, a 1:43 NASCAR diecast model (sitting on the box) and a 2-pack of Matchbox cars from 1995 dedicated to Brooks & Dunn:

I was able pass out a handout about 999outpost.com and how to join. I see that we have at least one new member this morning!

I think the museum lady did a good job putting together this package. We'll see what she has in store for the Mystery Package in January!

I posted in the wrong thread earlier. THANKS for all the great stuff with the giveaway. I bought a lotto ticket on the way home since I appear to be on a roll...........

AND...upon further review.....the ruling on the field based upon the photographic evidence above is that the Spring Tire Replacement Fund shall be diverted to the Einsteiger Face-Lift Fund.

Come on out to San Diego, drink a bottle or two of tequila, and wake up in a Tijuana veterinarian’s - er, cosmetic surgeon’s - spare bedroom. You may not look any younger, but you’ll look DIFFERENT...

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.
