Dog went under the desk and turned off the power strip and then it turned back on and the printer booted up and did that whole thing and what I'm saying is the dog has been barking at the printer for 5 minutes

Mrs. S. and I did the road to Hana in a Crown Vic, a month or two after some fairly epic storms. It was not the most pleasant drive.

Yea the good old days, especially with a Pinto with its optional rear seat BBQ
Hey! I had forgotten about the exploding gas tanks! I went to Maui in the early 70's with a GF and we rented a Pinto for the week. I played Mario Andretti on the Road to Hana which was much more primitive than today. Lucky I didn't loop it and back it into a Banyan tree!

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Some of them were partially washed out at the time. The driver seat was definitely adorned with my butthole print - there was quite a bit of clenching involved during that drive.

I came sailing around one blind corner and there sat a deuce and a half stake side farm truck with a broken axel. Huge Hawaiian dude stepped out and gave me the "Take it easy bruddah" sign! It either was that or the "You're f--kin' idiot Haole" sign. In retrospect I'm pretty sure it was the second possible interpretation.

Well done. Good first duty station. Next one might be Alaska 🥶. At least you can let him know that a group of crazy old vets are rooting for him. Go Army 👍
