If that doesn't do it, unbend a paper clip and try scraping the crud out of the slots on your wall. To do it faster bend the paper clip into a U shape so you can insert it in both slots at the same time. It's shocking how well that little trick solves problems.
I tried that and now all the lights went out and my fingers turned black. Any more ideas?

This is gonna sound weird, but there was probably a power surge. Turn the breaker back on and then to be careful this time put the paperclip in your mouth while cleaning out the energy port.

On a completely unrelated note, Schnelly, is our liability policy paid and up to date?

Ok tried it. Lights went out again and now all my fillings turned black...now what?

On a serious note just got back from the fireplace store to buy a replacement thermo disc switch that runs the blowers one of our gas fireplaces. The owner and two of his install guys were real froggy because "the wires are 110v you know that right?'. I explained the in a past life I was a railroad electrician that worked on locomotives that had up to three separate electrical systems on them 74vdc, 130vac and up to 1600vdc and that I was familiar with electrical systems and had already reviewed the schematic. They just looked at me and when I was turning to walk out the tech said "I would turn off the switch"...Duh! I know they meant well, but... Come On Man! I used to play catch with charged capacitors and hang on to megger leads while somebody spun the handle don't tell me to turn the switch off!

HOT DAMN! Good exposure. I don't agree with his final assessment about "if your going to rebuild your engine". The information made me more comfortable with the engine over all. how it works and why. He's more pragmatic than I am...I guess.

Speaking of the DVD, I couldn't help but post a meme in the Rennlist (dammit) NA forum. First time I've posted in that forum for, I think, over 2 years. Billy stirred things up to begin with.

God, how I miss the idiots . . .
