All kidding aside, you can't knock Honda reliability overall. We're thinking about selling our '06 R53 Cooper S [ now that is has a whopping 50K miles] and getting the Mrs. either a Subaru or Honda of some kind - with the newer bells/whistles like the Benz: blind spot warning & other safety goodies.

I had an ap1 s2000 for a few years while I still lived in Hawaii. Absolutely loved that car. I probably won't find myself in a Honda any time soon, but I did enjoy the only one I ever owned. :)

This was the blown Tiburon V6 just before I sold it to the kid who blew it up. It was a beautiful, ridiculously expensive engine bay for a $20K Korean car with a crappy motor, but still a fun project. I quit because I saw that pumping more power into a platform that didn't want it was a recipe for bankruptcy. It's funny that some people refuse to learn that lesson...they just move from one "wrong" car to the next.

BTW that is a work of art! An expensive work of art. Did it pass emission testing?

I'm thinking Blue neon to really get the hovering look.

Better would be "TURBRO VTEC YO BITCHES!" Of course in Japanese. Then for the Porsche one that reads "NORMALERWEISER ASPIRIERT IST GUT, YA!"

In the People's Democratic Republic of Kalifornia, new cars have been exempt from inspection and emissions testing for 5 years. This year, that was pushed out to 8 years - so a 2019 model vehicle won't need an inspection until 2027. Unless you get pulled over as a gross polluter, DMV/CARB give you a pass for the first 8 years; as long as you're willing to go back to stock or register it as non-streetable, there's pretty much NO penalty for doing this.

In addition to the supercharger and intercooler, the Tib got bigger injectors, an Apexi Neo piggyback fuel tuner, new motor mounts, a torque damper to keep the motor from smacking into the firewall under boost, relocated throttle body, and a homegrown intercooler rig I designed myself. The group of forced induction guys I was hanging out with were all using leaky iceboxes; I built with a much smaller closed-loop circuit with distilled water and Water Wetter. It was an awesome learning experience - but like you said, a bit expensive.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

So the answer is "No it would not have passed if the idiot kid I sold it to had not blown it up."?

So March has been a lucky month for me. Along with winning the oil, I won a pop rice (heh) machine on the snap on truck. What's the best oil to use in the kettle? Should I use the liquimoly?

I would use Planter's 5w30 peanut oil. ;)
