I'll let the stuff set for a week or so then use their cleaner to remove it. The pic makes the drivers seat look a lot more worn than it is. I had to put a bright light on the dash so that I could see well enough so that I did not oil the seatbelts, floor mats, windows, etc. :) I used Leatherique on my '87 Benz to keep the seats somewhat soft. Seemed to work really well on that car, so I thought I'd try it on the 911. Whoever ordered the car got the full leather option. It sounds like a great idea until you realize that this includes the dash, headliner, everything. That's a lot of damn cowhide to treat. :(

I need to order some of that too. Used to use that on my MB’s that I have owned in the past and it always works great. We had a E320 wagon with parchment interior and three little kids at the time so lots of cleaning was required. Even used it on our family room couch once.
My BMW is now approaching four years old and I have never cleaned or treated the leather, and our GTI is three years old, same thing. Fortunately none of them, or my 996, have full leather, so all I have to do is the seats.

Actually got up to 45f today and wasn't snowing or sleeting so I could warm the car up a little and dump the oil out of it from rebuild. Found that the drain plug had been scraped on something. It came out fine, but ordered a new one. So...waiting...waiting...and have plenty of time cause P-car driving season (for me) doesn't start for at least two more months.

Ordered up two new Ventus V12 Evo2's to replace my "slicks."

Also picked a wheel paint shop to refinish the Twists. $500 for all 4 wheels is a screaming deal for SoCal. I'll let you know how it goes, but the guy's saying all the right things (5 full days, including bake time; hardened clear, etc.).

Going w/ gloss gunmetal for the wheels. Should look sweet.

It was warm enough yesterday, but I left the car in the garage. We still had snow melting, so runoff, plus salt on the streets from Friday's snow. I haven't started it up in 3 weeks, so the first thing I'll do before putting the key in the ignition will be to hit the frunk open latch. Hopefully there will be enough juice to pop the frunk. I have intended to buy a battery tender for it like I have for the other rarely-driven cars, but I've been pretty good at driving it at least once every weekend. This year, it seems we get snow and ice every weekend, so it has been sitting a lot. I'm sure that's not going to come back and haunt me at all.

If I had a theme song, that line would be the chorus.

Some new pedestrian safety crap - apparently once they're airborne, it gives them a softer place to land.

I had a Jag at the time the UK made laws against hood ornaments. The Leaper is one of the best hood ornaments ever and they killed it!

I've always wondered who the hell cares about the hood ornament when they are getting hit by a car... :?
