Let us know. I mailed mine 10/1Einsteiger wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 9:58 am That reminds me. I mailed in a sample to Speediagnostics on 9/30 and have yet to see the report.
Maybe it's so bad they are going to have a chaplain deliver the bad news.
What did you do to/with your 996 today?

I got an email this morning from Lake to the effect that they’re looking into it and will get back with me.
Two hours later I got my report.
I think they’ve experienced a surge in business as word gets around about their comprehensive reports

Really good. The switch to DT40 paid off. The only glitch was a high value for manganese, which can be an indicator for valve guide wear OR indicate the use of an octane booster. I asked about the Driven Defender + Booster fuel supplement that I use, and bingo: that was the cause. He said to disreagard the manganese thing. Clean report.

Took my car to the Cars and Coffee at the local Porsche/Audi/VW/Ferrari/Maserati/Bentley/Rolls-Royce/BMW/Volvo/Jaguar/Land Rover/Lamborghini dealer. Lots of cool stuff there, my old slightly scruffy car did not look too bad. (Top was down, hiding my awful looking leak repair). Three GT3’s there and a really nice 1976 930 turbo. Couple of other 996’s along with mine.

The light blue car is a 991 GT3, it looked pretty amazing in person. I would have never thought to order a car that color but it works. Somehow missed a picture of the 930. Dealer had a few new 992’s there, they look huge next to a 996 or 997.Daryll

Your car looks good and fits in nicely. I can't believe there were two other 996's! Around here I've only seen one other 996 since 2014.Battery Guy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 6:24 pm Took my car to the Cars and Coffee at the local Porsche/Audi/VW/Ferrari/Maserati/Bentley/Rolls-Royce/BMW/Volvo/Jaguar/Land Rover/Lamborghini dealer. Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?
Technically this was yesterday, but it was a busy day for the 996.
The usual Saturday morning PCA breakfast at 7AM: Then on to a tech session at Porsche Kansas City at 9AM: This is the only service bay that I've ever been to where I felt that I should wipe my shoes before coming in: Counting all the Snap-On work stations, Blue Point carts, there had to be a million in boxes alone - NOT counting the Snap-On and Knipex tools therein Late afternoon / evening it was on to a PCA members house for the annual Oktoberfest. Porsches as far as the eye could see. My humble 996 is in one shot - in front of the '19 GT2RS. Yowza. Porsche KC sent out a 2020 Carrera S to show off. Black / Black - magnificent: I'm guessing over 80 came out. Good food, good times, gracious hosts. A good day.

Nice, very cool pics. The 992 car appears fantastic. C&D had a test in the last issue I think. Car is an absolute beast even in S trim.

Super cool, thanks for sharing. That workshop
I mean... looking at your car and the GT2RS - the 2RS just looks like your car got a butt enhancement. You can still see the same lines flowing from the roof through the back window. 911 DNA runs deep... a big reason why I love these cars!
