What does this mean?
If any interior lights work the fuse is OK.
If you open the engine bay and the engine bay light comes on check to see if the frunk light is on, too. It should be. If it's not check the wiring to the light bulb.
Latch the engine bay with the lid open (use a screwdriver to close the latch). This makes the alarm think the lid is closed. Now open the frunk and see if the engine bay light is lit. If it's not lit the problem is in the frunk latch switch. Remember to pop the engine bay before you try to close the cover!

If anyone has NA schematics you could send them to me and I'll review them.

Wow, thanks for the info! No, its a 200 and the handles are analog. Looking back, the post I saw was from the 997 forum which I must assume is an electic frunk switch, and totally different. So, its back to the microswitch on the frunk switch, but first I have to see if the engine light goes on. I don't see in the fuse diagram a fuse for those lights, but I can look again.

Nah, that's more likely to be me. I'm the guy that doesn't disconnect the battery before screwing with airbags or amplifiers and tends not to throw the breaker in the house before rewiring a socket.

Years ago, I was swapping a bad GFCI patio outlet...live, of course. While I was unboxing the new one, Mrs. S walked past the disassembled outlet wearing shorts and shocked the crap out of herself.

Oddly, she did not find this amusing.

Heh. We lived a bit rural while I was a teen and had horses complete with electric fence.

Story 1: We were replacing the single wire fence around the pasture with 3 board oak fence with wire mesh. The previous day my dad's friend had finished the day by hooking the single wire electric fence to the not supposed to be electric wire mesh. I got quite the surprise when I cut through the pasture and went to climb the fence...

Story 2: Had my girlfriend and one of her friends over. Friend was not around and I convince my girlfriend that the fence was off and got her to grab it. She claimed it wasn't funny, but then proceeded to help convince her friend to grab the fence too :lol:
