Part of the local low-riders were there with music blaring. The old geezer with his 911 stood out more than a little. I got a lot of head nods from the riders & nodded back in respect. Not a bad day at all.

I should clarify that I was not a total Grinch this year. We did family stuff last night, which left today for just the old people, a turkey breast, a crock pot...and unfortunately...NO Pecan Pie. Used to be one of my favorites, but these days it's just a little too rich for my system. I did have my mouth water vicariously while looking at the pie above...even though it was stored in the frunk.Einsteiger wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2019 12:53 pm Took the 996 out for a 30-mile warm up then over to the extremely crowded cars wash to spray off a little salt from last weekend & give the wheels a good going over. 64 degrees and folks were out in shorts & sandals washing their rides. Is that because you probably have one of the most powerful and reliable NA 996 C4S cars on the road?32wildbilly wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2019 1:38 pmOne of the best Christmas ever!Einsteiger wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2019 12:53 pm Took the 996 out for a 30-mile warm up then over to the extremely crowded cars wash to spray off a little salt from last weekend & give the wheels a good going over. 64 degrees and folks were out in shorts & sandals washing their rides. Yes...that is definitely a contributing factor! I might get another week before the deep freeze sets in.

Merry Christmas everyone. Beautiful day here in Ohio too - did not drive the 911 anywhere unfortunately. Our pie was a Costco pumpkin pie, but that pecan pie looks delicious...
Road trip to Cincinnati and back yesterday to my oldest son’s house to see them and our granddaughter. Needed the BMW for the seating and trunk space.
Hope that everyone had a good time with their families this week!

Drove the 911 nowhere due to ice / snow / salty roads. I did get time to hang my new Ebay special: a Porsche related flag to cover one of the garage windows that I was finally able to UNcover by moving shelves around. The consolidation continues. The windows have mini-blinds, but the flags keep any prying eyes from peeking into the garage.

I love your strategy - the flag is very subtle and definitely does not hint to anyone what may be in the garage.

Winter's rough all over, man. I could only roll the windows down half-way during this morning's commute - the dog got too cold otherwise.
Would have turned the heat up - but the diverter/blend door is shedding foam. The struggle is rill.
Speaking of 90's vintage cars that blow foam out the dash vents: the Corvette got oil/filter and a quart (!) of Dexron VI to replace what has pizzled out on my garage over the past few months. Nary a drop of power steering fluid (holy shit, a system that doesn't leak!). Re-torqued all of the pan bolts as a hail-Mary - bad things are really likely to happen if I unbutton that transmission to replace the filter and reseal it.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Kevin, cans neatly arranged on shelves that don't have crap crammed onto and falling off them? Your life is waaaay more organized than mine.
You've seen my garage: you know it to be true.

You should see the rolling metal rack that I moved to get AT the window. It's at the front of the garage now, with all of the helter-skelter stuff hanging off. Slowly but surely I'm reclaiming space
