Not even close to spilling over the sides. The oil did get close to pouring over when I slid it over to take off the oil filter, but that was on me; should've had it in position. Even though this is rated for 10 quarts, it's only about half full; I appreciate that Harley Davidson rated it for it's usable volume, and not the entire internal volume. It also stands upright on it's own, so takes up very little space. For $26, this is awesome value.

Forgot to mention it's made hur in MURCA
Did you use a funnel? Any splashing? I might have to get one of those...Should I wear a black leather jacket into the Harley shop to fit in?
No funnel. No splashing. No spills. Bonus nachos because it's made in the USA. I broke protocol, I wore basket ball shorts and a white t shirt.

Drove the doggo around town. Brap braaaaaap

Replaced the Carrera badge on the back with one slightly higher that fits the curve of the deck lid. Feels like maybe +3rwhp.

today I replaced the broken alternator mounting plate with a shiny used 997 one. Still waiting on the new oil fill tube to show up so I can reassemble.

That’s gotta be +5 hp right there.

Wife just got back from a 4-day Cape Cod bike trip with a few of her riding buddies. Bike was covered with that extra-special Northeastern mix of road grit and pollen. Took the pulleys off the rear derailleur, cleaned and lubed the derailleurs, degreased and lubed the cassette, cleaned and lubed the chain and shift cables, and generally wiped all that black and yellow crap off pretty much everything.

Now she’ll leave me alone for a while so I can do some maintenance on the 996.

Been slammed. For the last month or so I have been working minimum 50hr work weeks plus Emergency deployments.Went to take my wife out on mothers day in the 911 and the water pump started making noise and failed a couple blocks from home, So I limped it back home and parked it. Then I had the NRA Dallas rally, followed by Santa Fe shooting to respond to. Finally got to the Dealer and picked up a water pump and slapped it on. Felt so good to drive it again after she sat for nearly 3 weeks. Makes you really appreciate it. Gonna wash it and clean it up today, and drive it for the week.

Ordered some 7mm front spacers for the cabriolet today and have 14mm for the rear. Also getting some track pedals for the C4S. Couple of simple projects for the weekend ahead.
