Cleaning wheel arch

Post by metrod » Mon Aug 26, 2019 12:40 am

Doing a little spring cleaning, yes it’s the opposite in Tassie, Winter is almost gone!
Anyway decided to clean out the rear wheel arch and to my horror I couldn’t believe how much dirt had accumulated behind the plastic..

No rust at all thanks to a well galvanised car but I would say for those who live in a salty road environment could be of concern.

Noticed that when the plastics are reinstalled you need to push them against the metal guard at the top to minimise the gap and then tighten the nuts.

Very happy now they are clean.
