Replacing front fender liners

Post by 5chn3ll » Fri Jan 24, 2020 2:09 pm

The fender liners for both front wheels have stiffened/deformed to the point that they're constantly popping out of the fender lip; on the passenger side, the liner has worn through the paint. I have tried loosening and re-situating the existing liners, but within a week, the gaps are back.

Anyone replaced these? If so, where's the least overpriced place to source the parts? I need to repaint my wheels; this seems like a good time to take care of this issue.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

$194 per side from Pelican. Looking around to see if I can be cheaper than that.

I've also considered extending the lip a little bit by grafting some plastic onto the liner - but nah.

Didn't you buy a fancy new welder for projects like this?

Seriously, though, Warehouse33auto.com doesn't carry them. But, Suncoast Parts for $159 for the win:

Nice. I'm going to deliver the wheels to the wheel painter rather than leave them on the car - which will give me a week to not actually do projects like the fender liners, starter, etc.

Any update on the liner project?
I need the left lower vent section.

Will you be "upgrading" to the liners with the radiator vent that exits into the wheel well?
