Vonnen Shadow Drive

Anyone else see this?

But...$75K for 150 additional horsepower that still requires an M96...

I love the innovation, though.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

I would just buy a turbro. Over all cheaper and not as much fear of "Torch Boy" syndrome

Wow. Kind of like modern day nitrous, but electric.

This may be the first of many mods of this kind. Price will start coming down and this will revitalize the older cars.

I can see how having two smaller doodles like this on the rear wheels of fwd car can turn an ordinary communiter into a missile 30 seconds at a time.

Electronics may be the sticking point here though. They sell this for late model Porsches, as those cars probably have the excess computing power to run this system. On older cars this may be just that - electric NOS. Get moving, flip switch, electricity flows, turn switch off.

Kind of like this:

I agree with Kalashnikov - in-wheel brushless electric drive will eventually be the ticket.

The enthusiast market is already being flooded with used EV battery packs. It won't be much longer before Tesla drivetrain swaps become the new LS swap for older cars...

This is more like a KERS system in F1.

Agree with you guys though about the independent power to wheels. I believe the new Rimac is utilizing this concept to achieve their face-melting acceleration times.
