3.4 Carrera 4 tip motor

Post by Brian Minson » Thu Oct 18, 2018 6:20 am

Looks like I will be parting out my 2000 Carrera 4 Tip :( The motor is a 3.4 which was rebuilt with a valve job, new IMS, RMS, and AOS about 15,000 miles ago. Located in Gilbert (Phoenix) Arizona, any offers before I eBay it from my 996outpost friends?

What are you hoping to get for the motor?

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

...or for the whole part-out?

Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Can we rent the motor for a day? It's time for an updated picture of Kalash!

What are the particulars of the car (options, color, condition, coupe/cab, etc..)? Might be some parts I'd be interested in.

Hey Brian,

Totally missed the post about your accident. Sorry bro... that really stinks! Did the insurance company compensate you appropriately? I'm presume so and took the option to buy it back, huh? I hope you'll find yourself back in a 911 soon. Driving a Prius doesn't satisfy like driving these cars! haha

Man, I'm sad to see your car get written off after that epic new-car road trip.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Update guys:

The insurance company hasn't yet agreed to my valuation, so all is on hold for now...

Brian :)
