No serious wall bling yet. (Just a flag, hah!) I have a few things I need to frame, but I've been so busy renovating the house and work that I haven't had much time to do much in the garage after I put the drywall and lighting up. Next project in the garage will probably putting in a sub panel for a welder. Here is the current state of the detached garage. Along with the sub panel, my other short term plan is to have the concrete ground, apply a intensifier, and sealed. The previous owners left the garage a total mess, so it's taken a bit of work to get it to here.
Also, if you're into tools, here is a fun little site I run. Basically lists all of the suppliers for Snap On, Mac, and Matco so you can purchase the same tools at typically half the price. https://www.tooltruckrebrands.com/

OK, did the stereo install today. The hardest part for me was running the HVAC cable down behind the console and out through the tiny little hole in the bottom. Took me at least an hour ++. Otherwise was straightforward and turned out good. For $300 and my time it was a good car improvement! Realized after I had it buttoned up that I forgot to do the microphone. Yes I’m an idiot, but in fairness my wife was giving me crap about spending the whole afternoon messing with my car. Sigh... So that will be a tomorrow project. Should not take too long.Battery Guy wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 6:31 pmThanks - not sure how your reply got dropped off my previous post. Will shout if I get in in a bind!

I just put that head unit into my girlfriend's car, and a similar one in my 996. I love how discrete it is.

For my birthday, the wife got me a new set of center caps, on the old ones the Porsche crest is almost gone on some of these. Their not exactly the correct ones for my wheel, but since the wife bought 'm, I'm keeping 'em,
Posting a photo so you notice the correct orientation vis a vis the tire stem.

Looks to me that your point is about 0.5 degrees off actually. No wonder you can't sleep at night...

Clean the wheels and report back. I don't see a problem here.OceanBlue2000 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 12:30 pm For my birthday, the wife got me a new set of center caps, on the old ones the Porsche crest is almost gone on some of these. Ran a few errands with the clean-for-once 996. Ended up at KC Auto Care & Accessories to visit my bud Rob Howard. Great shop for all things detailing and he also carries a huge array of collectible model cars of all kinds. Shameless plug - I have no financial interest in the shop other than the ridiculous amount of money I spend in there. https://www.kcautoacc.

I think Rob was very happy when we moved the KCRPCA breakfast every Saturday to the coffee shop that's in the same parking lot (directly behind your car). Nothing better for a small business like his than having 50 Porsche-owning car enthusiasts park their cars in front of your store every week.Einsteiger wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 1:33 pm Ran a few errands with the clean-for-once 996. You would think so.....but only a few have been in. He said he started doing the cars & coffee circuit because it seemed to bring in more business after one of those. Hey....Mustangs need love, too. I told him he needs to put a flyer on paper and come into Pegah's and annouce he's there. Maybe have a 5% off for PCA on certain Saturdays....something.

I wish I was closer... I'd love to hang out with you guys.
