Jumped on the group buy on Rennlist and installed over the long weekend. Loving it so far! While under the car, discovered the coolant tank has begun to leak on the headers I just installed. Also have a driver side door latch waiting to be installed. It never ends...

Nice! I didn't see the group buy, but assume it was for the shifter. Did the knob come with it?

Group buy was for the shifter, and they also gave me 10% off of the cables.
The knob is a function first classic knob. I'm not sure I would recommend it. The anodizing on the knob is sub par. It looks like it wasn't properly cleaned before being anodized, so you can see the stains from where machine coolant dried after machining.

Changed the cabin filter and the air filter, ditching the L&N. First time having the air box off, so shout out to the German engineer that decided to put the sensor clip on the backside so you can’t see how it works until the box is off. Finally got to take it for a little run too.

Warmed mine up on the way to 7-11 for caffeine infusion, then ragged it out to Gillespie Field to watch the airborne volkswagens try to kill each other. Parked next to a Subie - those 4-banger boxers sound horrible. Worse than the Nissan 350s/370s. Riding in one of those WRX w/ fart cans must feel like getting skullf***ed by Roger Rabbit on Molly.

Drove it for the first time in almost two weeks. Finally got it all back together after installing the IMS Solution, new clutch, and a few other things.

Took the wife out to a school reception and dinner afterwards in the 996. She must have been in a good mood - not one complaint about stiff ride or exhaust drone.
