Reading between the lines I think she is wondering how she didn't get rid of you 14.5 years ago!

Seriously though, cancer fucking sucks. Congrats

15 years ago my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Due to a mix-up at the doctor's office, we learned of the diagnosis from an intern who was calling to schedule his surgery. He was given 6 months to live. Life stopped. Then only moved in slow motion for months afterwards. Amazingly, 6 months has turned into 15 years. Today was his annual check up and he was given the all clear for another year. It is a joyous feeling. We rolled up our sleeves and sucker punched cancer and do it every day as it can return. I am more grateful for each day, I reflect on my blessings more often and I think of you who are fighting the battle right now. Hang in there and keep fighting.

Congratulations, and thank you for fighting.

Thanks, amigos. The Cancer is responsible for me having stupid cars like a 911 and a Corvette...I was much more responsible and saving everything for "the future." Now I'm only semi-responsible.

Really should have added that I'm happy to hear that you're a healthy, reckless, speeding menace. Cheers, 5CHN3LL!

Schnelly,

Man, you have a trophy wife right there... one to hold on to and cherish more than any material thing. You'll never see a hearse towing a U-Haul. Life is short... Enjoy every minute with her and others close to you. I'm glad you have a "new lease on life". Maybe the object of her faith trying to send you a message? Just a thought. Keep your head up fightin'. Don't let the circumstances of life hit you below the belt.

That's good stuff Shnellyface. I have a couple good friends who have beaten cancer; neither had that prognosis though. But one is a guy I met at my first track day. We had lunch recently and he had a very similar outlook -- screw being afraid of things and worrying about bad outcomes just go for it and enjoy life.
