Thank you! I'm reserving any big celebrations until I get paid for the car. With COVID, I'm sure the seller will be challenged to meet with the bank and get things setup and wired correctly. Most of our banks will only deal with you through the drive-thru at the moment.Battery Guy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 6:06 pm Congrats B3! That was a fun auction to watch - glad it turned out well. If you need someone to commiserate with you regarding college expenses just let me know - have two in college right now - daughter will be a senior and son will be a sophomore. At least #1 son is out of college and living on his own, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. But it is a long, expensive tunnel!
Where is your daughter going to school?

My daughter hasn't made a formal decision, but it looks like either Brenau University or UGA. Both great schools. I'm biased of course.

To OUTPOST admins and all higher powers -
We should really have an active 996 "Look what's on BaT" thread. That would be a great way to keep people informed of upcoming auctions and talk about current ones. Just a thought.

Thank you!! I was also watching B3's auction and honestly upset I didn't wait a few more weeks before buying my 996.2 locally. My parents live out in GA and I definitely could have made the "visit" to come pick it up for nearly the same price I paid locally but of course without all the Raby love. I'm still on stock clutch, IMS, RMS so obviously this is in the back of my mind on every drive but it really feels good at 67k miles on my '04. Already been through multiple series on Rennvision and taking precautions until I get to swapping out the clutch (which has no slip in it at all but will likely replaced with DMF, IMS and AOS as preventative maintenance before the end of the year). Anywho, thanks again for the welcome and looking forward to learning from you all!

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Welcome to the Outpost! My auction brought a lot of attention. I'm just glad I don't have to ship the car. The buyer is just over in SC and so unless something goes weird with his bank, he'll be picking up my car next week. I've very happy with the auction, but personally, the buyer got a great deal considering the car has a new clutch, RMS, AOS, new coolant expansion tank, coil packs, and IMS Solution all installed by Jake Raby's team at Flat 6.Z996Z wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 12:17 pmThank you!! Cool! My daughter is at Elon University in North Carolina, and it looks likely that my son will transfer there this year. Wherever she goes it will be a great experience.b3freak wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 7:30 amThank you! I'm reserving any big celebrations until I get paid for the car.
