New retirement strategy Frunk?

Post by gnat » Mon Jul 06, 2020 1:33 pm

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1988- ... -turbo-24/

I get the collector interest in low mileage cars (though I feel that is a travesty to the car itself), but this seems excessive given that there are 4 other 944 examples (2 are trying to end as I type) in the same god awful color for significantly less.

Crazy people out there I guess....

I do find it a little concerning to have a fire extinguisher mounted on the floorboard in front of the drivers seat in a street car.

I'm just sayin'

A) It's a 944 so duh!

B) I have the extinguisher option for the P!g (ordered it shortly after my Escape tried to burn itself to the ground with only a half drunk bottle of water on hand). What I find incredibly stupid about the P!g's extinguisher is that they mounted it in that location on the passenger seat. You can't get it from the driver's seat which means that you have to get out, run around to the passenger door, realize the auto lock still has the door locked, run back around to the driver side to unlock the doors, run back to the passenger side, open the door, fumble with the stupid holder. Of course if it's a real fire rather than a stupid mechanic that just spilled steering fluid all over your exhaust, at some point that whole process is short circuited by simply stepping back to watch the car-b-que play out...

Wow, that's a nice car, but kind of crazy money. Just one more example of "Guards Red for the win!"
Money talks, shit walks, boys.
