And on that note our nice long run of not having to ban anyone has come to an end :(

We were willing to give him a chance, but almost all his posts were attacks on Jake.

Mrdeezy I name thee Dick and award you this first ever ban.

Took longer than I thought it would..
I am sure he will pop up again somewhere else, with the same initiative. If he would just admit his mistakes, and answer for them, none of this would happen. None of us are perfect, but how you deal with the imperfection is what matters.

Yeah I knew where it was going from his first post, but I tried to give him a chance. Honestly I was expecting a tirade of posts that first night, but he just trickled them out instead.

I was also loathe to break our no-ban streak too. Now that it's done, however, that Schnelly guy better watch his back!

I searched Google for "Jake Raby is a snowflake" and found an entertaining 914 thread from 2012.

Why is it that these people always want to threaten Jake with physical violence? And always for cases where they are clearly wrong on basic facts of their complaint?

It doesn't take a lot to connect all the dots, and figure out that there's more to this than just selling a car, when it comes to his behavior in these threads. If you go back and look at his prior posts on RL, he never showed that type of behavior. if you go back and look at the exchanges he had with me, he also never had any ill words, and would usually support what I said. The same thing occurred on BaT.

His words used to be more articulated, and his posts were tactful.

Yeah.. That guy wasn't even my customer. The guy he was arguing with me about was a real clown who heated his crankshaft up till it turned blue, then blamed me. He was building his own engine! I was on the phone, trying to help him when I should have been checking on my dad. After I finished with the guy, I go to my dad's house, and found he'd passed away. Needless to say, after that, the next time the guy called me, I lit his ass on fire and have never heard from him since.

Welllll...KrazyK has been on the ban list since the site came online - but that happened so early, it pretty much counts as a configuration option and not a member ban. I'll allow it.
FRUNKenstein wrote: Sun Aug 30, 2020 9:36 pm So, gnat was the first one to actually ban someone. Shocking. I'd say that I won the pool, but everybody had their money on gnat.
