Why replace the strut when you can simply fail to remember to hook the lid to a rafter using a bungee cord and brain yourself with the latch...every single time?

I am why I can't have nice things.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

I've mentioned this before and been criticised for not using a platinum rod but I look at it as a "lock out-tag out" deal. Cut a dowel the proper length and place between hood and frame work for the opening as a fail safe when your noggin is under the engine lid regardless of how fresh the struts are. My Indi had the lid come down on him and he spoke in tongues for a few days. He got better...I think. BTW in case it hasn't already your frunk lid will attempt to guillotine you as well.

I washed it last night - and left it out in the driveway because it looked so good against the clear San Diego night sky.

It rained on my way to work.

You do understand that you are responsible for the rain. Right?

I got this far and got excited that this was going to be another palm frond story that was going to include you being out on bail after some alleged violence against your neighbor.

The real ending sucked. :x

Heh. Funny - the same palm frond neighbor just gave me 6 WEEKS' NOTICE that he's going to be trimming more trees.

I think I skeered him.

I consider that mission accomplished.

Give him 3 weeks notice that you will be doing something entirely not safe (for his property) with molten aluminum

If I do anything unsafe, it will involve Pyrodex, his view-obstructing tree, and cannon fuse...
