I'm not sure that stuffing 520hp into a huge wagon is such a great idea. I guess I will find out.
Now on to the next project.

Every two years. New cars are exempt for the first 8 years (i.e. a 2022 model year car will not need emissions testing until 2030).
It costs about $100 every 2 years for my old garbage, $10-20 less for newer garbage. So yeah, they ding you extra for driving older/collectible vehicles.
If any part of the emissions system is aftermarket without a CARB sticker, you fail. If there's anything that even looks aftermarket, you fail.
If you have a single extra piece of non-factory tape in your engine bay, you fail.
They run the emissions readiness test after they start inspecting your vehicle - so if it's not cat ready, you FAIL. And pay twice.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

I once worked for a guy who had a "genius" idea that turned into a lot of software-industry money in the late 90's. I later watched him piss away most of the fortune he earned when he sold that idea...he was convinced that every idea he had was similarly brilliant.
