Never got the bad taste out of my mouth after buying an engine from Jake 6 years ago. So last year I retired from
IT to chase my dream of becoming an engine builder and providing the US with a viable alternative. And the best way I could think of to do it was by partnering with Hartech.

We will be using Hartech provided parts, processes, tooling, jigs, and code to build Hartech Engines for the US market as their exclusive distributor. Our machine shop is up and running with identical equipment as theirs and we are close to having our engine testing lab completed.

Our Alpha run of engines have already been purchased, stripped, Vapor blasted, and shipped to the UK where we will machine and build them over the next 5 weeks. Once we move into beta, we already have the spots filled with customers willing to provide the data logging we need and the ability to pull the engine if the slightest thing is amiss.

We currently believe we are on track to go GA with machining in March and full rebuilds in May.

So no more tire walls gnat. My aha moment came about 4 years ago when I was watching Days of Thunder with my uncle (who let me drive his 911 once when I was 16), and realized I wanted to be Robert Duvall instead of Tom Cruise. So I’ve been spending the majority of my free time with a wrench in my hand ever since.

Wow, super interesting. Years ago I read a paper that someone at Hartech wrote that gave the clearest explanation for bore scoring that I've read. I believe their theory was hot spots caused by inefficient coolant passages. Anyway, you see the UK guys going to Hartech all the time on the UK 996 facebook pages.

IN ANY CASE, you'll be based where? Out west?
