The W12 is two VR6's mashed together. The problems with the VW Phaeton and other derivatives is they did not share much electrical gear with other VW's, so when the electronics break replacements are impossible to find. For example, the fuel pump controller is located underneath the spare tire in a well that fills with water, which shorts out the controller. No new ones are available and functional used ones are hard to come by.

It is quite stunning to look at. I'm sure it's quite nice inside, too.

I managed to convince my machinist to get his medical issues attended to and he's now back, looking much better than any 71 year old chain smoker should.
My bookkeeping lady on the other hand is in hospital with a seriously infected foot. Surgery to drain out the infections was successful, she is still on IV antibiotics. This means that I have to do the end of year bookkeeping stuff. I foresee a much larger than usual bill from my CPA for this year's tax prep with many hours spent on correcting my mistakes.

Yeah you're right. I looked into it finally and the OG Continental GT, the Flying Spur, the A8, and the Phaeton were all on the same platform. W12 available on all models apparently but I can't seem to remember seeing any W12 A8's here... I thought they were all 4.2 V8's for that generation.

I am getting a little worried about my trip to San Diego next month. Is there going to be any part of the state left above water?
That's a serious question to the San Diego-ites here, how is the area coping with the rain?

It might rain a bit later today, but otherwise it's going to be cool and clear, like Mr. Cuda said.

It was 41 this morning at 5:50. It's currently a BRISK 58.

My trip isn't until early February so there is plenty of time for the water to rise.
