When I replaced the rotors on the X1/9 a couple of years ago, the rotors were like $12 each.
These are two piece rotors with floating disks although the disks are not separately replaceable. They're 380mm diameter by 38mm thick and they weigh about 50 pounds each. And they are only used on the 2006 Cayenne TTS and the 2010 Cayenne TTS, no other application. Which is why the previous owners lived with the worn out rotors and braking shaking.
I considered fitting the standard Cayenne Turbo brake setup or the brake setup from an Audi Q7, in the end it was easier to just pay the price.
Although now I received an email from eeuroparts that they're on sale for $1000 for the pair.

And, yeah, the price is still excessive. I plan never to replace these again.

Man, I can't Goatse this thread.

Yes I can.

goatse.cx (/ˈɡoʊtsi dɒt ˌsiː ˈɛks/ GOHT-see-dot-see-EKS, /ˈɡoʊtˌsɛks/; "goat sex"), often spelled without the .cx top-level domain as Goatse, was an internet domain that originally housed an Internet shock site. Its front page featured a picture entitled hello.jpg, showing a close-up of a hunched-over naked man using both hands to stretch open his anus and expose his rectum, which was lit red by the camera flash.

Nah, I think there's a little stretch left there.

(immediately hopes that Schnelly doesn't view this as an invitation for more goatse-based, ahem, humor)

Come to think of it wasn't there a proposed "goatse" version of the Space Force logo displayed here a few years ago?
