Matt Farah, who's a rather well known and respected automotive journalist, stated in his recent video on the Boxster Spider RS that the current iteration of the Boxster is the best road-going sports car in existence. And not the RS variant, because it lacks a proper (=manual) transmission, but the Boxster Spider. Now, the one he owns is in "pink", but also has a Deman 4.5L monster motor.

TL:DR -- I'll take Matt Farah's word over a bunch of Rennlist posers and accept that the Boxster is a fantastic sports car, for anyone.

I was going to post a DIY for replacing the passenger side-view mirror - but it was so easy it isn’t worth it. Remove the trim piece inside, peel off the sticker covering the third Torx bolt, unplug the electrical connection, remove the three bolts. Damn, Porsche, way to go.

“It is not necessary to remove the door card,” he said, having unnecessarily removed the door card.

I've got a friend with a 2016 Boxster Spyder 4.5L with major suspension upgrades. An amazing car!!!

Awesome! Now don't back into the side frame of the garage door again. BTW just in case...where did you get the replacement?

Had the pleasure of meeting Frunkenstein and his lovely bride for a drink as they are touring my fabulous town of Las Vegas.

Had a lovely time and could have spent all night chatting!

Mr Schnell I'll PM you about my visit to your town next week and perhaps we can make something work as well.

Well, first, Doc had to come find me and the missus as we were lost in the labyrinth of the Venetian and Palazzo complex. “I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore.”

Anyhow, yeah, a great time visiting in one of the really cool bars there. I figured my wife would be elbowing me after 20 minutes or so, but she said afterwards that she really enjoyed meeting Doc. Of course, she probably feels that way about any guy who buys her a drink (that’s how she got stuck with me).

Probably the biggest drawback to shutting this place down is the risk of losing the relationships we’ve made here, even if they are internet based.

And dammit, Billy, if you don’t make your way down to KC soon, I’m going to have to come up your way to visit. Hope you are getting back to full health.

Thanks again, Adam, for the drinks and the fellowship!

Let me second the shut down concern. I've enjoyed viewing here, mostly from the sidelines. It was from the 996 Forum days that I hijacked the "Where am I now?" idea, sending my kids pics of LA freeways operating in "park mode" as we travel to visit them. Stay well and maintain your wit and humor.

What the F happened to gasoline prices!!?? I don't buy gas very often and today I filled up the Volvo at
$4.79 per gallon! Premium of course. Seems like a bad time, once again, to own three cars that "prefer" to drink high octane.

Sheesh!

Well...crude oil prices have risen about 15% over the last few weeks. National average gasoline price has risen by *only* 10% during the same period. Such welcome restraint being shown by gasoline retailers!

As to WHY crude prices have risen...I suspect Russia cancelling the grain export deal with Ukraine has a lot to do with it. From my experience in the oil industry, the perception of rising geopolitical instability almost always results in higher oil prices (especially when a big oil producer like Russia is involved).
