If I hadn't already sold my extensive hand-painted silk scarf collection, I would definitely buy another 986.

I know I've said this a thousand times, but my ONLY regret about buying my 996 was trading in my 986. So stupid. That car was amazing to drive and probably the most beautiful thing I've ever owned.

Pretty sure I have a picture of it post-trade on the showroom floor next to an Aston Martin.

I agree, though, I haven't been outside in a while. Is everyone ok?

Having grown up in the high desert (not Vegas, but Vegas-like without the crowds/excitement/nightlife) -- I'll take a Vegas-like 115F dry heat over a 100F day whose heat index is 115(+) due to humidity. Of course, mid-80's in the shade with a light breeze and a cold beverage of choice in my hand beats just about any other option.

Dr -- fam and I are doing fine. We've had well-above normal rainfall which means the damn grass keeps growing 6"/week, which cuts (hah!) into my goof-off time budget.
Proud owner of a Flat6-powered 2002 996 Cab, 2016 GT4, 2019 Ford F-150 "Country Cadillac", and 2005 Ford Focus (not so hot hatch) daily driver. And a Wright ZTO 52" to keep several acres of grass-like substance neat and tidy!

Yes, good! Was thinking about you guys during Beryl.

And I agree I will take "evaporate your sweat off you" heat over "you silly salamander, get coated in your own goo" heat.

When you go to Vegas, you gotta have a beer with the Doc!

(And despite the recent heat wave, it’s only 105 degrees at 6:30 pm as I write this)
