Well, it sold in 2021 for $25,000 plus the 5% BaT buyer's fee. With the new tires & wheels and rebuilt engine and no front boobs nor silly sail panel crests, I would think it would be worth at least $25,000. My plan would be to put it up on BaT and hopefully get more than that for it.

PM sent.

I got the new wheels in and took them to Discount Tire today to have the tires mounted. I am taking them over to the shop this week to mount them on the car to make sure they fit well.

The fun part was mounting the Porsche crest stickers from Automobile Atlanta to the center caps.

I am excited to see the change on this car. On my Laguna Blue '75, the difference was dramatic. I expect something similar. The Pedrinis are what it came with from the factory, but I think these Fuchs 2.0 liter replicas will really make it pop. If I was keeping it for myself, I'd also consider doing the tartan plaid or houndstooth inserts from 914rubber.com.

The engine is nearly complete. Got the engine tin back from the powdercoater and installed. I spent a little extra to have the engine shields done in matching L21E Blutorange. I think that was a good call.

BTW, here is a picture of one of the wheels mounted. You can tell by the gap in the wheel well that the engine is out of the car still.

OK, I've got the car back from the mechanic on Saturday, and entered it in the All German Car Show on Sunday. It won its class. No surprise as it came out well, and the mechanic had an aspiring detailer who is a gopher in his shop go through and detail it, do some minor paint correction and wax it. I have to go pick it up from The Underground now and take it to a muffler shop to have the tailpipe adjusted as we replaced the muffler and the tailpipe just doesn't quite line up with the hole in the rear bumper that it goes through.

Anyway, here are some pics:
