Maybe this will help.

I wonder the same thing all the time. Maybe a little supply and demand? Or, maybe Porsche loves watching' us bend over and pick up the soap? hahaha I purchase all of my Porsche OEM parts from Perimeter Porsche Parts in Atlanta, they have some of the best prices and customer service IMHO. But there is no rhyme or reason to some of the part prices. I can buy a metal bracket for the Harmann amp in the front for less than $30.00, but a little plastic part that fits in the palm of your hand can cost double? A bolt that locks the rear seat cost almost $20.00! A piece of carpet that goes behind the seat was more than $500.00! And so it doesn't surprise me that center reflector C4S is that much. That's something I would try to purchase used from a dismantler. For the most part, it's just for looks. And, it's makes the C4S look great! On the other hand, I wouldn't buy used electrical/mechanical/engine parts like the radiator resistor I installed last week. Resistors burn out like bulbs and it took me a good hour or two installing it; therefore, I want a brand new OEM part not a knockoff or used one.

On my last Carrera, my window regulator went bad. Everybody on Rennlist warned me about not going OEM. The OEM part was $350. The Chinese knockoff was only $60. Stupid of me, I went with the Chinese knockoff. Took me several hours to install it. One month later, the knockoff was malfunctioning. ugh!!!! That's why I didn't want to repeat that mistake again with the resistor.

Wait, I'm no expert but, I don't think feet are involved in "fisting"...

Put the harley davidson drain pan to work last night. It's hands down the best drain pan I've used for a low vehicle. Not even close to spilling over the sides. The oil did get close to pouring over when I slid it over to take off the oil filter, but that was on me; should've had it in position. Even though this is rated for 10 quarts, it's only about half full; I appreciate that Harley Davidson rated it for it's usable volume, and not the entire internal volume. It also stands upright on it's own, so takes up very little space. For $26, this is awesome value.

Forgot to mention it's made hur in MURCA

Did you use a funnel? Any splashing? I might have to get one of those...Should I wear a black leather jacket into the Harley shop to fit in?

Awesome! Looks like it would need to remove the top skin for it to work right.

Or, just purchase a used C4S deck lid which is supposed to the same size and fit as the Turbos. ;)

Not a bad idea. Some years ago I needed to drop my V-Rod off at the local dealership for some warranty work. My wife pulled in to pick me up, wearing her usual summer attire ... pastel-colored Eddie Bauer polo, khaki shorts, you get the idea. Suffice it to say, she kinda stood out :D
