Won't know for sure until I try, but I think it's just some adjustment.

In an ideal world I'll be able to do it without removing the steering wheel again, but not with the way this week has been going in car related avenues...

The 100+ degree heat is finally gone today, but now it's raining :(

I was planning to reinstall the old unit again since I now suspect that there is no issue with it. Assuming that my hunch is true if it's a 4 stalk module you need I'd be willing to work out a deal on the slightly used module (assuming that it is successfully tested out too).

Well not so easy after all :( Seemed like such a logical answer...

Pulled it back apart today and found that the module was exactly where I left it seated all the way back where it should be able to fully engage.

Finally used Jake's torque guide for something and it says yellow 8mm 8.8 bolts should be at 24nm. I set my wrench for so and ultimately gave up trying to torque it down as it just kept going (not stripped though)...

So the next step is to let a dealer diagnose it for a possible warranty replacement. Wonder if they are going to complain that I'm leaving the column facia and airbag off to cut their diagnostic time that they can charge me

The more I look at this, the less I suspect the part though (but there really isn't anything else to suspect...). Sitting in a parking spot with the engine running, engaging the left blinker and working the wheel as in a turn, the blinker almost always reset as expected. The right blinker, however, only reset once out of ten test "turns". In a couple of test drives (I put the wheel on a bit crooked :() only the left blinker reset once out of all the turns that were made (both directions).
