I bought something from Harley Davidson for the Porsche. Not in a million years would I think that would happen. Buuuut, they have a high capacity, low profile oil drain pan that will slide under the car without having to raise the vehicle.

How is that going to work? Every time I change my oil I use a giant pan with five inch high sides and still get splatter for the first couple of quarts out. Takes me longer to clean the floor than change the oil. I must be doing something wrong!sweet victory wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 6:53 pm I bought something from Harley Davidson for the Porsche. Clearly you need to stop changing the oil. Problem solved.

Hopefully a funnel in one of the holes will solve that.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 7:17 pm How is that going to work? ^^^^ Now THIS is a person with lots of experience apologizing!gnat wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 6:19 pmNothing personal. We have had that problem in the past and happening so close to the schism it was casting this as some anti-RL clown show which is NOT what the site is all about. There has been some good growth here since then, so I also felt this was a good chance to make our stance clear.
I'll grant that I may have missed the sarcasm of your post as I haven't been to RL in some time now, but without that context I'll argue that your post reads much different.
I do apologize if I came off too harsh. I tend to get to the point without much filtering
We're good as far as I'm concerned, no hard feelings or anything.
{Ah, married. Yep, I get it. Now KoB will sulk for a day or so and then all will be fine.}

I got a nice 15 quart low-profile oil drain pan off of Amazon. It has wheels and a screen and everything. To catch the spatter & deflections? A $15 hot water heater pan from Lowes. (I was pretty proud of coming up with that last one, gotta admit.)

No big deal ... and you're right, I should've provided more context.gnat wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 6:19 pmNothing personal. Naw he just growed up over here and became a mod. Careful I think he is becoming somewhat Barney Fifish and wants to pull out the one ban hammer El Presidenti lets him carry in his top pocket!
