You guys are so young! First car I had when I was 16...1954 Chevy four door sedan. It was only 12 years old and cool. 235 c.i. straight six, three speed on the column and room for large quantities of cute girls looking for a ride home after school. It always started in the cold winter weather unlike many other cars of that era. Probably because it didn't have much compression left. The work I remember doing was: remove the front bumper(it was a thing back then), renew the clutch because I blew it street racing which required cutting a hole in the tunnel to access the top transmission bolts. This is also the car that taught me that some air filters were filled with oil and would spill out if you tipped it while removing! Ah...simpler days!

I started driving with my dad's ol' 1966 Ford F100. Three on the tree baby! And, it also had the oil bath air cleaner. Crazy, messy design!32wildbilly wrote: ↑Thu Jun 07, 2018 6:40 am You guys are so young! First car I had when I was 16...1954 Chevy four door sedan. The first vehicle I bought was for $1500. A 1990 4runner which started out in life as this...
And over 2 years, the off road bug bit me. Chevy v8 swap, sold axle conversion, reinforced frame, yada yada yada. Did all the work myself in my dad's machine shop. (Don't make fun of the skinny kid in the pic a break...I was still in high school)

Was Chebbie a real car or a girl that loved to give back seat "rides"?

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
The CLA story is blowing up. Guy posted his AG complaint and dealership response.
His whole complaint boils down to this:
I towed my car in after hours, gave keys to someone, told them there is no oil in the engine. On Monday they called me and said engine is blown. They owe me a new engine because they started my car and blew it up.
Genius!!!
DTM, quickly tow your Miata to a dealer this Sunday. Give the keys to the last person in the building and tell him to not start it. When they call you to inform you that your engine is blown...Ask them for a new one as they blew it up?
