Yeah I wanted to do that in the P!g, but fucking Porsche has apparently encrypted the CAN traffic on newer models (958, 991, and 981 were the first I believe).5chn3ll wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 10:56 am Speaking of shit you'll geek out on:

My buddy has a 15 Wrangler WIllys and his oil filter housing went, causing the worst oil leak I've ever seen. He can't drive it, its so bad. Apparently this is a known issue with this series because the housing that holds the oil filter is plastic garbage.
Sounds like there is some money to be made by a machine shop that can replicate the part in aluminum...OceanBlue2000 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 7:08 amMy buddy has a 15 Wrangler WIllys and his oil filter housing went, causing the worst oil leak I've ever seen. But that's not the worst thing. The part is back ordered and his dealer may get it in a month. A month! There are knock offs on Amazon but I cannot recommend he get a part that's already an issue from some company we never heard of. So, there it sits.
was about to say slap the aftermarket one in and send it,......but the upper and lower intakes gotta come off to do it. Yea, id wait for the updated factory one too....OceanBlue2000 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 7:08 amThere are knock offs on Amazon but I cannot recommend he get a part that's already an issue from some company we never heard of. Hey. If Porsche can 3D print GT3RS pistons for the 992, why not a filter housing for a crappy Jeep? Sounds like it couldn't be much worse anyway...FRUNKenstein wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 12:50 pm
Or maybe even use a 3D printer to virtually synchronize one, eh?
Saying it right.gif
