Yeah, get well everyone.... I knew that my extra extended stay in Florida due to airline meltdowns wasn't that big of a deal, and now I am sure of it.

The post-covid lack of energy SUCKS ASS. I feel fine (no symptoms at all), but 3 hours of re-racking hardware at the data center today wiped me out.

Or maybe it's just that I'm getting old and weak. *shrug*

Just about any illness results in a "low energy" period after symptoms disappear. Sadly, that "low energy" period seems to be longer the older we get. Parents of young children know this oh too well...

You know the old saying it’s not nice to F with Mother Nature include the pancreas with that sentiment! Galdbladder was removed yesterday and feel better already.
So Ho Ho Merry Christmas to all you folks.

Oh no! Billy how are you doing a week later?

Happy New Year a couple days late. Just an update from one of the sickies ...

I went outside yesterday since it was finally not raining. Figured I'd do a small amount of light weight stuff. Cleaned up some debris that lodged in the creek alongside the house. Touched up some paint on the pool railing. A bit of yard trimming. Added flashing above the front door. In other words, nothing requiring much energy. Came inside and found my blood oxygen levels were in the low 90s and my pulse rate doubled into the 90s and was not wanting to recover. Still I felt OK. But today ... I'm wasted.

To make matters worse, Pam tested positive today after we were both negative a week ago. She was congested the last few days and her doc wanted her in the ER immediately. So we have new meds for her.

FWIW, with questionable kidney tests from a few years ago, Pam got only a reduced Paxlovid dose. That may have something to do with the results.

It will be interesting (in a morbid kind of way) to see what happens in China over the next months. That's a country where if you are a one in a million kind of guy there are a thousand others just like you. Plus you are jammed together with others like sardines in a can.

Take care and welcome to 2023!!!

Neither car has shown up to San Diego yet; I hope Billy checks with the shipper soon.
