Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Just a fast update on my washed key FOB ...
I ordered a new case since my button repairs from years ago were perhaps suspect. Two sets arrived Sunday (a spare for my second key or for a friend in need). The button half on the new part fit nicely into the old part holding the key blade.
But the problem remained. However, it was intermittent.
Generally intermittent failures are due to a bad connection. Generally that means no connection, but in the case of water ... a couple minutes of gentle air blown on the surface mounted switch fixed things.
So ... our key FOBs can be washed and no, I don't advise doing so!!!
BTW ... FWIW, the Covid sore throat from 22 days ago persists and brain fog with reduced energy and dizziness induced from light activity remain. The rhino asshole taste (thank you 5n3ll for the perfect description) took three days after the Paxlovid ended to clear. It's time to get over this.

Yep, 22 days. A couple of those included spitting into a waste can since I couldn't swallow. Ready to have this behind me. The throat sores have moved up to my tongue. All in all, getting better. Soon it will escape out of the top of my head. Just slow progress.
Almost never get sick. 50 years of work with the only missed days being to set broken bones. I'm not a good patient. Pam tries to hold me down but I keep escaping to go outside and do things. It's well documented that to get better you need to sit on your ass 24-7. So this delay in "getting to fine" is on me. Just hard to impossible to sit still.
All of this is a First World problem when you stop to look at the big picture.

Thanks. This is merely an inconvenience. What I've got manifests differently in different people. I'll get past this.
I've got a lot more concern regarding Wildbilly.

Amen to that. Whenever Billy's daily post rate drops below 20, something is seriously wrong. But seriously, I join you in wishing everyone -- especially Billy -- complete and speedy recoveries. It sucks being sick, and being healthy is the best gift those of us as husbands can give our spouses (for many reasons).
