So, the hooptie fleet got out and stretched its legs over the weekend. I lent my '87 944 Turbo to a buddy from the local PCA so he could take his wife down to Porsche Palooza in Eureka Springs, AR. He sold his Porsche about 3 years ago for personal reasons, but stays active in the club. So, I'm happy to let him have it for a few days. He put about 500 miles on it over the weekend and said it ran great.

As I mentioned in my 996tt maintenance thread, it is still in the shop for a slave cylinder and strut mount replacement. I sold my daily driver Jaguar XJ last week, and I needed to drive to Columbia, MO to go to the Mizzou-Tennessee football game with my son, Max$wag. So, I took the '87 928S4. I put about 275 miles on it. It also ran great. Most of the time I was cruising at about 88 to 90 mph on I-70, and it drove very smooth. Since the cruise control doesn't work, I would just wait for someone driving along at that clip and then just follow. A couple of times on early Sunday morning, where the traffic was very light, we got up to about 100 mph. That old car is very smooth and composed at 100 mph.

I'm gonna spend my Saturday morning watching Elon blow up another giant space wang.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Hey Billy, I'm having a little trouble understanding Schnelly's post, and my web browser keeps freezing up for some reason. Can you Google the following search terms for me right quick: "blow" "giant" "space" "wang"?

From SpaceX: "With a test like this, success comes from what we learn, and today’s test will help us improve Starship's reliability as SpaceX seeks to make life multiplanetary," the company said."

From MythBusters: "Jamie want big boom!"

From Me: "Jamie got two big booms."

After the announcer said “our super heavy booster just experienced a rapid unscheduled disassembly.” The idiot employees are still cheering like they are at a Taylor Swift concert. Must the be maryjane that ol’ smokey supplies the team. This after a delay of the launch to replace one of the booster guidance fins so that tells me the plan was to recover the now fragmented booster.

“Yea…Hell yeah it blew the F—k up! Awesome!! Pass that doobie.”

Not unexpected to me.
