It was interesting that I had not noticed it in the past, but new eye glasses revealed fine white outlines that I had missed. Once the correction is done, I will be applying 4/5 coats of Avalon and see how it turns out, and I'll start a thread on how to if anyone is interested.
That would be a very popular thread. I think a lot of people are interested in ceramic coating, but the cost of a professionally applied coat is just too much for me.
I see ads for this but am too dumb to ask. What does it do? Is it some kind of super wax that stays shinier longer? Does it protect the paint? Looks cool in Panorama, but all the cars look cool in Panorama.

I would like to know as well. The cars in Pano look good partly because of the dude who took the pic and the equipment he/she used.

I forgot to post back up - I read that article and it's pretty good. Obviously they want you to use their product, but they seem to be pretty honest about pointing out the limitations of ceramic coating.

Drove the 996tt to work today. As much as I enjoy driving the other cars, every time I drive it, I gain a renewed appreciation for how awesome this model is. And no better hp booster exists than driving a car with well under 100 hp right before jumping into a car with 500+.

Just stay on top of preventive maintenance on these cars my friend. Many buyers jump on these 996/997 Turbo cars because they think the Mezger engines are bullet proof and never fail, etc. But, these cars are a lot more expensive service and Jake says its hard to find a core in many cases when the engine goes boom. This is becoming a more regular occurance at Flat 6. (see attached image) This one came in this morning.

Bobby - are you saying I should be changing oil or something? I think the manufacturer says 100k miles between oil changes and mine only has 62k miles.

Yeah those Turbro guys have money they don't know what to do with so a new engine block shouldn't be an issue...

Kalash,
Keep the politics in the correct place. I temp deleted your post as there was nothing useful left if I simply removed the political stuff. The other mods can still see the post and reinstate if they feel otherwise.
