I have always wondered why Durametric only runs on windows. I don't get that.

It's cheaper than having to code for more than one platform, test on more than one platform, support more than one platform...

Since it requires a USB gadget, you can't just throw the mess at a web browser...

I talked to Durham ages ago about doing a Mac/Linux port for him. He said he was already working on it.

I'm slow on fun projects, but I probably could have had it done by now...

Durametric is one of the few things I might still throw at Java on the desktop. The UI can be fugly, the graphics are minimal, and it "runs anywhere" well enough...

As much as a Durametric costs you think they could have included code for a good computer! Guess I'll just stick with my AutoZone reader that told me my misfires were Cyl 6(306) which was that the plug was fouled and bridged because of the severe scoring. So while I can't get all those Rkat, Ratshit, Batshit, fuel trims, cam advance and etc...I'll live without it...some how.

I've never had any issues with the software - I just don't want to haul around a Windows laptop for that one application. :D

Ok so I ordered a new iPad for the wife. 2020 version 12.9" 512gb to accommodate all of the Clark Howard podcast she could ever want to download.

Question is how many dongles do I need to order?

Moore's Law is going to have to find a different basement to lie in! BOOM!

I have a charging cable for the 11" Pro I bought in Jan. That's it.

I do have an Apple Pencil 2 as well, but rarely use it after the nifty wore off. The new hand writing to text feature they just added actually works really well, but typing is easier. So I can't really recommend the pencil unless there is something really specific you need it for.

For an iPad - unless you're doing something fancy - none. Like the irritant said.
