Ok so got the wife a new iPad...

iPad Pro 12.9 2020 version. Of course it has no input/output ports except the USB C. She listens to podcasts while she tries to sleep. I understand about the "adapters", but have a couple of questions:
I can buy an Apple C to 3.5 jack adapter for a reasonable amount $10. Or should I buy a hub that includes charging and 3.5 and other inputs/outputs? These do not appear to be available from Apple which brings my next question. Pretty sure she would struggle/lose blue tooth ear plugs.
Is there a recommended brand of accessories such as that which is reliable and not likely to burn down the new iPad?
