I'm not sure Andy could have done anything about giving Brady 2:00+ to go back down the field but damn it would have been nice to have eaten more clock. But you gotta score the TD when you have the chance. But, Andy.

Regardless of how you feel about Brady you have to give him credit. Wonder if anybody checked the air pressure in the footballs? If the Chefs would have won the coin toss I think the game would have ended differently. That whole second half looked like the last guy who got the ball was going to win. My question is just what the F was going on in the first half with the Chefs?

Yeah, everybody at our watch party was screaming at the TV "Stop throwing downfield - get a couple of 1st downs first, then score". But, yeah, it's hard not to score when they give it to you - no guarantee the TD is going to be there with 15 seconds left on the clock. At least they gave it back to us with time to tie up the game. Had that game won with the interception that got called back because we lined up offsides. Self-inflicted wound. Defense just needed to hold the Pats to a field goal, but couldn't do it. Plus, as we discussed a week ago, Andy in a tight game is not a good scenario.

Bottom line is that we've got Mahomes for another 15+ years. We'll be back. Hopefully with a much better defense. Overall, it was still a good year. Not a Super Bowl championship, but a good year nonetheless.

And, although the Chiefs could grumble about a couple of calls (the 15 yard roughing the passer penalty where our guy hit Brady in the shoulder pad, not the helmet, to give the Pats new life), that was nothing compared to the screw job the Saints got.

Plus, you have to give the Pats credit for a very good defensive game plan in the first half.

Yep, Chiefs had this one wrapped up with that last minute interception. When it was called back from being offsides, I knew it wouldn't be good for the Chiefs. And learn from us Falcons, you don't want to take the Patriots to overtime.

Yep. Brady may be ancient, but he's still got game.

"Ancient"? He's only 41 years old! I know in the past a 41 yo football player had been retired for years, but seems things are different these days. Especially if you are good enough to keep from getting run over too many times.
