I believe his last Porsche was a mk1 996 Tiptronic Cabriolet which ended up chewing up a transmission. After that expensive repair, I think it killed his devotion to the brand. At least for a while. He ended up selling the car. I'm usually pretty good at determining if it's the real best-selling author, occasional Gitmo AirBNB guest, and internationally-renowned automotive fashion consultant John Ireland.
