Would you consider a Numeric SSK or something in the 996 to make it more similar to the CTR?

Naw. Most I would do would be a 997 shifter which tighten things up and reduces shift throw @15% if my memory serves me without getting balky when not warm. Knowing me I would do a "money shift" with a short shifter and Jake would make my life uncomfortable.

The 997 shifter is a little shorter throw than the 996/986 shifter and its plug and play

I would absolutely install a Numeric shifter - and leave it exposed, because they're really good looking - if I had an extra kidney to sell.

Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Currently, the driver door handle on the inside is still taped down with blue painter's tape so it won't drop open and drain the battery.

I am a terrible 996 owner.

His statement was something along the lines of "Sure, I tell guys to install short shifters in their cars, they bring me tons of business."

Eggzackery! However, if you have one of his engines and blow it up because of missing a shift due to a SSK my guess he would not be thrilled at all.

He's not "thrilled" on radiator inlet screens either.

Looks like my misfire issue is no more. It's been about a week and no codes!
Must have been a dirty injector. Probably didn't need to replace the coil pack.

After 2 bottled of Redline Sl-1 and a bottle of Royle purple fuel system cleaner, the old bitch runs really well
